The austenitic stainless-steel grades ASTM TP316 and ASTMTP316L represent a strong steel that resists rust effectively which leads to wide acceptance by society. Heat treatment must be precise to make these materials function optimally over an extended period of time. The proper heat treatment process remains the fundamental requirement to achieve optimal performance from TP316 and T P316L materials.
